Five years and 6 highly acclaimed international LPs later, Spiritczualic Enhancement Center is returning for the first time ever to the place of its birth! Since their formation in a squatted Ottoman dome in "Dangerousalem" 5 years ago, this otherworldly & outernational psychedelic-jazz crew has been buzzing all over Europe - with performances taking place in half of its capitals, at esteemed venues such as 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐥, 𝐁𝐚𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐧 and 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬 and at festivals such as 𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐓!, 𝐅𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 and the Future Sound of Jazz edition of 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐳 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥.
The press has often compared Spiritczualic with the sound and vision of 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐑𝐚, 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 and 𝐂𝐚𝐧 - with whom's legendary singer 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐳𝐮𝐤𝐢 they released the album 𝘼𝙧𝙠𝙖𝙤𝙙𝙖 on Parisian-label 𝐀𝐤𝐮𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞. This record made it into many connoisseur "best of the year" lists of 2022 – with both Bandcamp Daily & Uncut magazine placing it on the shelf right alongside 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙮𝙨.
Their wild and orbital kraut-funk regularly gets played on radio shows on 𝐖𝐅𝐌𝐔, 𝐁𝐁𝐂, 𝐖𝐖𝐅𝐌 and 𝐍𝐓𝐒 - and jockeys like 𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐉𝐞𝐟𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐧 (𝐀𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐨) and 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐢 𝐁 are fans of the band. 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 has called it "𝙆𝙤𝙨𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩".
Soon to release their second cassette on boutique tape label 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐬 in the USA, the previous one sold-out in its second pressing and was recently reissued as a gatefold 2X12" double vinyl on 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 of Lille.
Carpet Album - their LP with 18 artists for Berlin's 𝐊𝐫𝐲𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐱 label - received a 9/10 from 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 magazine and was said by 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐤 to "𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙙-𝙟𝙖𝙯𝙯 𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙨.. 𝙖 𝙧𝙪𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮".
With quite the buzz around them, they are a defining part of Germany's new band scene – where the melting pot is spawning new forms of live and experimental music with organic, lo-fi and analogue sounds.
Spiritczualic's mysterious "spectral jammers" originate from over 12 countries – among them Macedonia, Japan and Germany. Dozens of musicians have toured with the Enhancement Center so far - and this visit will feature 7 of them:
𝐎𝐦𝐫𝐢 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐳 - 𝐊𝐞𝐲𝐬, 𝐕𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐬
𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥-𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐧 - 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫
𝐒𝐚𝐬𝐨 𝐏𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐨𝐯𝐬𝐤𝐢 - 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫
𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐮𝐲𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐍𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚 - 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐬
𝐒𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐞 - 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫
Æ𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧 - 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫
𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢 - 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐬
The project's philosophy is fluid, radical and open-ended - inviting the surrounding environment to impact the sessions and wishing to resonate back a truly collective feeling. They've been crafting this impromptu Third Eye methodology to a fine-tuned Fourth World spirit of synchronisation in realms of higher improvisatio
