About fifty years ago, when Caribbean immigrants brought their music to Britain,

The local white bourgeoisie had shut her ears. On the radio they refused to play ska and reggae, and no one wanted to encourage rapprochement between Jamaican "punks" and local youth.

The label "Trojan" managed to crack these walls, and to use Jamaican music to conquer the slums,

The skinheads, the working class, and finally the English mainstream as well

The story of the establishment of the "Trojan" and the cultural-social revolution that helped to bring about the work is presented by means of excellent old recordings and dramatic reconstructions,

Alongside interviews with immigrants who were disappointed to discover that the "stepfather" did not wait for them with open arms,

But they managed to find a place within themselves, thanks to the music
