Special - "In Between"

"In Between" brings the story of three young Palestinian-Israeli girls, living

together in Tel Aviv: A beautiful, sharp-tongued lawyer, a lesbian musician, and a

young religious girl, that confronts her flatmates with the lives they left behind.

The movie offers a female point of view on the world of a generation that was not

seen on screen before, and describes the lives that take place far away from the

inspecting eye of Arabic society, and the illusion of free life in the big city. The

Palestinian underground scene in Tel Aviv is the space where they test the

boundaries of the freedom they demand for themselves.

The movie was shown in the prestigious San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain,

where it won three awards, in the Toronto Film Festival and in the Haifa Film

Festival, where it won three awards as well.

On Wednesday, 18th of January, the director, Maysaloun Hamoud, and actors

Mouna Hawa and Sana Jammelieh arrive to the Teder to play the "In Between"

soundtrack.
